We hope to learn more next June 17, when Santa Clara, CA start-up called Cohesity is supposed to be out of stealth mode, announcing a big financial round led by several VCs - after a first series A round in November 2013 for an undisclosed amount by investors Sequoia Capital and Wing Venture Capital, and its business.
The company is co-founded by CEO Mohit Aron, who led the design and development of the Google File System (GFS) and co-founded and pioneered of the hyper-converged infrastructure company Nutanix as founder and CTO. He was also architect at Aster Data Systems, Inc. and worked at Zambeel, IBM Research and DEC Western Research Lab.
The young firm is supposed to reveal an infinitely scalable storage solution that converges all secondary storage workflows for backup and recovery, DevOps, and analytics onto a single, intelligent platform.
Wait and see ...
